BCFMWU has been notified that a Norwegian flagged vessel will be operating in Canadian waters on a temporary basis. BCFMWU is not affiliated with this company and we are not able to verify every detail of the information that we have been provided with.

BCFMWU has been contacted by Seafarers’ International Union of Canada / Syndicat International des Marins Canadiens regarding a request by Bridgemans for crew on board a Canadian Vessel. The Vessel is MV Isabelle.

BCFMWU has been notified that a company in Vancouver intends to commence a new operation by importing a large foreign passenger vessel into Canada. At this point, the company has an intention to register their ships under the Canadian flag after they enter service. BCFMWU is not affiliated with this company and we are not able to verify every detail of the information that we have been provided with.

Anticipated start date is September 2023 for three years or more depending on duration of project.
